Greeting dear friends and family, How are you today?
When I woke up this morning, I had no idea what I would write. When I first started The Sunny Optimist, I would begin the week looking for ideas to share with you. Sometimes it would be like gnawing on a bone. However, as I have settled into my creative writing process, I have let go of what I call my ‘inappropriately planful’ self. It is a part of me that likes to be prepared, which, I know, is no bad thing. AND it does not always leave open the doorway for inspiration to drop in.
So in this moment, I am celebrating my ‘appropriately unplanful’ self.
Big smile!
The Law of Attraction
When the shutdown began many moons ago, I started a little daily ritual where I would draw a card from the Esther and Jerry Hick ‘As and it is Given’ pack. The cards are derived from the teachings of a disincarnate energy being called Abraham, who is channeled through Ester Hick. Now, not everybody is comfortable with the Law of Attraction. This discomfort is often because, at its heart, Abraham says our vibrational energy attracts what we are experiencing. I appreciate that this is not always an easy message to receive in the current reality that surrounds us. Nevertheless, Abraham sends us a message to stay conscious of how we handle our reality, and he encourages us to respond to our life as best we can.
I am often amazed at the guidance I receive each day. The message brings my attention to what might be needed to stay in balance. It also helps me to open to my life in an more optimistic way.
Here is the message I received this morning.
I will never get there, so I will enjoy my journey.
Abraham’s message from the above statement is;
‘You cannot ever get it done because you cannot ever cease to be, and you can never halt your awareness. Yet, out of your awareness will be born another asking, and each asking always summons another answering. Your eternal nature is one of expansion - and expansion is the potential for unspeakable joy.
Well, now is that not kick in the pants!. I am up for unspeakable joy, always!
Happy Memories of Summertime
Each day the card opens my heart, lifts my optimism, and encourages me to keep going. I don’t know why but my Dad has just come into my mind. Right up to his time of passing at age 93, there was an essence of him that was always curious and playful. His favourite song was ’ In the Summertime’ by Mungo Jerry.
I have such happy memories of us doing silly dances to this. So I share this song with you today, and imagine you dancing in the sunshine. Mmmmmm

Questions for This week
This has been a very easy and enjoyable post to write for you today. I feel settled within myself and happy in this moment. So, as I touch into where you are located and how your day is unfolding, my questions are:
What asking and answering are happening in your life?
What expansion do you sense that brings you optimism for the future?
What summertime memories do you have?
As always, dear Sunny Buddies, I would love to hear from you.
Ann
"...expansion is the potential for unspeakable joy." Thank you for this! Beautiful post, Ann. So much beauty to contemplate on this weekend.
I love Summertime. There are moments in it when everything seems more still and timeless than ever before. Perhaps it reflects those momevts of tranquillity that occasionally come in the middle of ones life where one looks around. Sees nothing moving in the forest and countryside of ones dreams. And is able to say. I can imagine perfection. I can imagine loveliness forever. These thoughts are there to remain even when there is a downpour as there is at the moment lol. Cheers. Wishing you a lovely day Ann x
