Dear Friends and Family,
It feels right to pause with The Sunny Optimist this week as our nation mourns the passing of the Queen. The second Elizabethan era came to a close yesterday, one that traversed a powerful time of social history across the world. The Queen leaves a legacy from her dedication to serving the people of the Commonwealth that is worthy of our respect.
May she Rest in Peace. May King Charles III rise to the challenge of these times as his mother did 70 years ago.
May she rest in peace.
Here, here! There's a fabulous pub in downtown Mpls called Brits. Great pints, shepherd's pie and Scotch eggs, and lawn bowling on a rooftop terrace. People gathered there last night at 6pm to raise a glass to Her Majesty. All over the world, people are mourning and celebrating...what a testament to her life and leadership.
