Greetings, dear Sunny Optimists,
At the turn of the year, David and I decided it was time to move house. An invitation to be closer to family proved irresistible! We have a purchaser for our house and have found a rental to support the exploration of our new location. In time, we are looking to find our forever home, and we are clear that we will only 'leave' this final house in a pine box, LOL! While it feels lovely to be flowing into a new era in our lives, moving home is glacially slow and has tested our patience. I have a rueful smile as I write this. I am ready to pack up and move, and yet we have a way to go before this happens. This slowness is the nature of moving house in Scotland!
A Substack post from a dear friend came in on Friday. I absolutely loved it. It spoke to be content within myself, rest, and be thankful for all I am and have. The author, Ellen, has been my Evolutionary Astrology guide over the last six months. She has a wonderfully robust and irreverent approach that I have so enjoyed. Below are Ellens's insights on the gifts of the recent Cancer New Moon, which she reads for us. I love her voice, which opens a portal to a deeper connection with her lunar wisdom. I commend it to you, and if called, feel free to sign up for her Substack.
I have not been inspired to write for some time while this house-moving project has been upon me. It was so lovely on Friday to read and listen to Ellen's post and feel my optimism calling me to come here and share it with you. I hope you enjoy it, and as always, I would love to hear about anything that resonates within you.
Ann
PS. I am reminded of a famous viewpoint in Scotland called ‘Rest and be Thankful’, which offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and glens. After a long and arduous climb, travellers would traditionally reach this point, take a rest, and be thankful that they had reached the top. Mmmmm
Oh, wow! Seeing that viewpoint gave me goosebumps! It's like resting in the cradle of mother Earth herself! Who'd of thunk such a connection existed! Thanks for your kind words and sharing, Ann. Love and hugs.
Well, speaking of needing rest....I'm still trying to find time to listen to the recording! Meantime, sending you my love, dear friend. I can't believe it's been a year since I was with you in Scotland. I get teary eyed thinking about our time together in person!
