Gratitude
Well, now what a great beginning!
Thank you for signing up. I loved seeing your names pop into my mailbox; it felt like you were waving to me and saying 'go for it.' Fifteen signups in this first week. Woo Hoo! Feels great!
Your contributions to the comments section was a 'best bit' for me. I often visit sites where the comments section is pretty empty. So it was a lovely surprise to experience the spontaneity and depth of your words. I appreciate you sharing what is happening to you and giving us a window into your lives. Thank you, Sam, for mentioning Positive News and Mark for offering a great question that encourages us optimists to keep going.
'What if it is the optimists who actually change our timeline to one that is in harmony with each other and nature and full of abundance for all!?'
It is vital for me not to diminish or dishonor what is happening in the world. My intention is to beam out messages of loving embrace that enhance all our wellbeing. I have dear friends in the USA who are affected by the fires there. Please know that we are thinking of you and sending you prayers for your safety and ongoing health.
Please feel free to share what is happening to you. We are here!
Engagement
I am now in the space of learning where to move next now that I have 'lift-off.' There are plenty of territories for this novice newsletter writer to get her mind around.
How often should I post?
What is an ideal post length?
How do I reach out to more people?
I am taking my time and not laying more on myself than I can handle. I have been down many technological rabbit holes in my time that have given me what I call a 'hot headache.' So taking it a step at a time feels right. I have been reading other newsletters and have watched a couple of Substack tutorials. One consistent recommendation is to seek feedback to help expand my understanding of the options open to me. So here I go:)
No, have too, but if you have any ideas or experiences of newsletters that you like, I would love to hear about them.
And finally - a bit of sunshine for you.
In thinking about all that we face, it came to me that music is a great communicator and healer. So I decided that my bit of sunshine for you today would be one of my all-time favorite song videos. Written by Bill Withers, this is the Playing for Change version of Lean on Me.
Imagine each of us singing along, passing the 'baton,' and we are all smiling and connected by the end. Mmmmmm
What music inspires you? I would love to have a listen in.
Ive been Dowsing which makes feel connected to all of Life and learning lots about this Wonderful Planet Called Gai :) ,, I also Dj on line which has supported me so much ,, Thank you Ann Wonderful idea xx
One of the most optimistic sounding pieces I listen to. Always lifts me. Is the concerto grosso by Vaughan Williams. Brings me a feeling of such warmth and truly inspires a feeling of humanity’s togetherness. Really lovely.
