Greetings Sunny Buddies,
This week I received a wonderful invitation from my grandson, Noah.
Via his Mummy, he asked if I would like to go with him to visit his favorite shop called Mr. Wood’s Fossils. What a great name!. I found myself conjuring up images from the past. I saw seas that came and went leaving silty deposits embedded with marine animals. I saw dinosaurs, woolly mammoths, and amber being laid down with insects inside them. And so much more. Mmmmm.
I felt a wonderful sense of adventure arise in me as I sent back a resounding ‘yes please’ to the invitation.
So on Thursday morning off we went to visit with Mr. Wood. The shop is a treasure trove. It is full of ancient teeth, mineral deposits like crystals, and geodes: there were even pieces of meteorite, would you believe. It was evident that three-year-old Noah is entirely at home in this world. He was fluent in the names of the dinosaurs, the fish, the sharks, and he was particularly enthusiastic about ammonites. Big smile!
It was such a pleasure to experience the world of fossils through the eyes of a child. The awe and wonder he holds, and his deep engagement with life at such an early age were wonderfully evocative for me.
Towards the end of our visit, Noah invited me to select a fossil as a present from him. Oh my, it was a lovely moment of him sharing his passion with me. We took our time to see what was best. Below is what he helped me choose. It is called a Goniatite and is 380 million years old from the Atlas Mountains in Morroco. What a treasure.:)
I found a BBC Earth video of Sir David Attenborough talking about his love of fossils which I thought you might like to see. It rounds off this section perfectly. Please click here to view.
The Spiral in Life
I love that the Goniatite’s body is spiral-shaped. I am in awe of how delicate, intricate, and exquisite this spiral form is. It is pretty magical that this ancient design is millions of years old. There is No Accident to this. By this, I mean there just has to be a divine intelligence behind a design that is so prevalent in life. This belief sustains my optimism in the face of the challenges we are facing at this time. There is more to life, I feel.
In the image below, you can see that the spiral is present in many forms. We can see it in tiny plants unfolding and in the colossal weather system like the hurricane. The juxtaposition of the fluidity of a whirlpool with the prowess of the Kudu antelope antlers is delightful. I found the octopus arms so beautiful, almost like it is dancing. And then there is the solidity and safety of the shell of a snail.
Just amazing :)
A Celebration of Sacred Geometry
The exploration of the spiral above then takes me into the realm of Sacred Geometry.
Many consider Sacred Geometry as the blueprint of creation in that every natural pattern of growth or movement comes back to one or more geometric shapes or codes. The concepts and explanations of how Sacred Geometry works in practice are sometimes at the edge of my comprehension. Yet, I do feel my heart expand when I encounter images that are so beautifully explored and explained.
I find it absolutely fascinating that this understanding brings us the perspective that mathematical principles underpinned evolution right from the beginning of time. For example, The Golden Ratio is a unique number equal to approximately 1.618 seen in the Fibonacci Spiral Geometry. This ratio is seen extensively in the natural world. For instance, in flower petals, in the design of an acorn, in spiral galaxies. Then in the human realm, it can be found in ancient buildings, in the symmetry of the human face, and even in human DNA.
Based on the Fibonacci Sequence, Leonardo da Vinci illustrated the mathematical proportions of the human body. He then linked this to what he called the ‘squaring the circle’ with his famous drawing below.

Questions for this Week
I really enjoyed writing this for you this week. Something a little bit different that leads me to my questions for you this week:
Have you ever explored fossils? If so, what delighted you?
Where, in your part of the world, do you see the spiral in life?
Have you any thoughts, and or experience, of Sacred Geometry?
As always, please share. I love hearing from you.
Ann
Yes I'm looking into this as well with my connection to dowsing and find it fascinating to the relation to Medicine and Spirals and Torus ( which ive seen during Sundance's ) and Triskelion's which is Air Water and Earth all ive been able to Dowse within the earth energy,s and looking into how the Archtypes of energy relate to the wheel with Sacred Geometry Ive also been able recently to dowse flower petals and node points in the earth within stone Circles I feel the is a connection so I'm excited to ,,, and feel our Mother Earth is slowly showing herself and the other day i did the Taslagi on a node point and went into the shimmering it was awesome try it :) Big Hugs ty again Ann give my Love to David xx
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful experience with Noah! Love the spiral images!
I sense there is whole lot to be discovered about our universe through a deep understanding of Sacred Geometry! Nikolai Tesla showed us the way in recent history!
If I ever build a new home, I would love for it to follow sacred geometry principles. I imagine it would hold a special, life-giving, positive energy.
