I love the Beatles too! Although, they encapsulated the decade right before my teenage awareness. For me, the most memory-filled music is from James Taylor. His songs take me right back to a particular time and feeling. It's a amazing that he is still singing and his voice sounds just the same. I love how music can be such a fast and potent transport to another time and place. So lovely to see your Sunny Optimist in my inbox this weekend! Sending love from here.

Oh yes Jame Taylor - a voice like liquid honey. 'You've got a friend' one of my favourites and I love many of the duets he did too. So love the memories of the 70's that his music brings back to me. Mmmmmm Wishing you a happy weekend xxxx

Loved your Beatles post! I have to admit I never really got into them - I’m more of a 70s rock person myself. But I was lucky enough to see Paul McCartney perform at Desert Trip about 6 years ago, and wow, what an incredible experience that was! There’s something magical about seeing a living legend like that live. Thank you for sharing your music and muse. My toes are tapping and my fingers snapping. With love from me to you ❤️

Dearest Ann, Sunny Optimist, StarSong

What a joy to hear from you again.

I too am a Boomer generation- and although I've been living in Denmark my whole life I was and am a huge fan of the Beatles.

Actually more and more through the years.

in 2022 we did a big musical called "She loves you" where we were aloud to use all of John & Pouls numbers as a red thread through the story.

I loved it !!

I sang "There are places" with my parther on stage - and "I follow the sun."

two of my favourites -what a threat.

In the 70ties I dreamed of being Joan Baez walking in front of a huge protest march - I loooove the hippie revolution and I think that it was the start of the Frequency war in the collective consciousness, that we are in the middle of today.

We're trying the best we can to keep our heads cold and our hearts warm over here - holding the highest frequency we can.....

I'm on the run to do a lot of things today - I just wanted to pup in and share a little.

Thank you for the inspiration - may we walk in beauty.

Sending you and David love and joy.

Birgitte, StarWalker

Oh my, how lovely to hear from you. I could hear your beautiful voice singing the songs. Mmmmmm You capture the ' zeitgeist' so well. I can see you marching out ahead, brave women wanting to make a difference. So many happy memories. As I write this I also can hear the refrain "All you need is love". Am off our to a Festival today and can feel my hippy vibes rising Big Smile - so much love to you and your beloved Troels.

What a fun post, dear Optimist!! My father, although a decade older than the oldest boomers, bought Please, Please Me when it came out and 1964, and my brother and I discovered it a few years later when we were about 8 and 9 years old. I remember playing it over and over in our basement, singing and dancing away hot summer afternoons. Seeing our enthusiasm, my dad later purchased Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. More dancing. More singing. More wonderful memories. I remember our entire family gathering to watch Yellow Submarine on TV. By the time I was a teenager, there were so many popular bands...my soundtrack included Joni Mitchell, Led Zepplin and U2! But if I had to pick a band that defined my highschool years, it would have to be Fleetwood Mac. Happy long days of Solstice!!

Ahhh dear sister, thank you. And yes Fleetwood Mac - a wonderful soundtrack of your youth. Yes indeed such fun to play with music as a touchstone for happy remembering. I am also remembering the songs we used to sing in the car on the school run. I need to ask the girls about their music xxx Mmmmm lovely
